The fining pot is for silver, and the furnance is for gold. Silver and gold are refined by fire, so too are people refined by God. God tests people's hearts by allowing sorrows and temptations to assail them, so that they may come out of the trail as pure gold and purifying people's hearts. Pursue wisdom, trust in God, live righteously and treat others with kindness. Fear the Lord, depart from evil, and walk humbly with your God.
